A Vancouver clean-energy startup that is developing a zinc-based hybrid flow battery for large-scale electricity storage has secured $15 million in equity financing to help it get to commercialization.
Zinc8 Energy Solutions has closed on a $15 million private placement led by Raymond James Ltd. and Haywood Securities – it’s largest equity raise yet.
The company is issuing 28,750,000 common shares at $0.54 per share. The company plans to use the investment for further research and development needed to commercialize the company’s patented zinc air battery system.
